There are a variety of key individuals who involved themselves into renaissance. Alighieri Dante, one of the greatest pioneers in renaissance, wrote a book which criticized the corruption of religions in middle century. When it comes to renaissance, Leonardo Da Vinci should definitely be mentioned. During the renaissance, Leonardo Da Vinci was the most famous and prestigious artist. He was almost perfect so that most of people at that time regarded him as the best representative in renaissance.

· What are the counter arguments to the renaissance as a significant event in world history?

Some people may have some counter arguments to the renaissance. They do not believe that renaissance is a significant event in world history. As a matter of fact, renaissance had done a great job in terms of helping people know how important they are. Individuals are very crucial. However, renaissance did not have a lot of things to do with the world. Take Asia as an example, renaissance did not influence this area too much. It seems that everything will be the same, even though the renaissance did not happen in Europe.

 

For the task. Renaissance seems to be a turning point in Europe, particularly in Italy.  Humanist had discovered something that confirmed the current ideas that human beings used to have via ancient books and records. According to what they had found in those books and records, they established the new ideological system. Namely, the humanistic thought. Humanism is the main theory of it. What they truly believe was that human beings were able to create anything as long as they wanted. The petty bourgeoisie intellectuals believed that paradise was not at sky but on earth. They deemed that the temptations of human beings did not have to be restrained. Humanism was a good ideological weapon of capitalism which was good at fighting against the church. In addition, humanism is the guiding ideology of renaissance. However, it emphasized too much on individuals, therefore, it did have some limitations. Moreover, it is clear that the majority of citizens in city-states were free people. The city-states were a good way for Italy to get funds, because dwellers had to pay the taxes.
