After seeing this performance as a “live” performance, I understand that love is always sad and painful, especially love in the eyes of others. There is a silent language in live theater (Cohen, 16). But when it came to the real experience of the feelings of Romeo and Juliet in the play, I will find even if the bitter love is sweet for them.

Tragedy is ending with the death some main figures (Cohen, 22). It can be called as a tragedy as both heroes both die. However, it can be regarded as the comedy as well although at the end of the story both of them died,   their sacrifice has been resolved a feud of the two family at the expense of death of Romeo and Juliet. It can be described as a comedy ending.A tragicomedy is a drama which is combining elements of tragedy and comedy (Cohen, 25). Thus "Romeo and Juliet" results are sad, but the play also has a comedy elements, so it is a tragicomedy.

The contradiction of "Romeo and Juliet" is mainly reflected in the contradiction between the two feuds, the contradiction between individual and society and the contradiction between feudal and anti-feudalism. Conflict is often the fundamental driving force to promote the dramatic development of the drama (Cohen, 33). And the conflict of these contradictions is mainly solved through this medium of violence. The hatred between two families have long has become the first and the biggest obstacle to the lovers, which the author in the opening has expressed. This contradiction is embodied that banquet of Juliet ’s

family does not allow family of Romeo to participate. Romeo chose to secretly participated in the banquet. Their parents 'old thought of feudal marriage is in the collision of two lovers' free love view. The disagreement between the two young men and their parents who love the freedom of marriage also constitutes another conflict.

The actors use voices and bodies to create characters, which helps them to communicate with the audience. However, I also feel the performance and their use of voices and bodies being too exaggerated, which gets me not so immersed the play. “virtuosity” can have depth when  there is a reflection of interior self (Cohen, 47). And it did not carry too much internal rethink of the original, and in terms of the spirit, this performance is a conservative work. Although the actors and director wanted to convey to the audience to understand what is love, they failed because I am already familiar with the love, and have long known how the plot develops. The actors on the stage were shouting and crying, but did not let me really feel the charms of literary works, reducing the drama’s appeal.

The final moments of the play are related to the central conflict.Their death was a result of irony and struggles against the conflicts between the two feuds, the contradiction between individual and society and the contradiction between feudal and anti-feudalism. With their death, the central conflict was resolved. Romeo and Juliet 's death make two families establish good relationship as I saw the despicable and regret of the two prominent families when they saw the bodies their beloved children and when they buried them.

Some of the production appealed to me. "Romeo and Juliet" shows that the fate of all are subject to the restrictions of the background of the times. The protagonist are eager to freedom of love, but failed due to the oppression of the external environment. And Romeo ‘s messenger for some reason did not send the letter in time resulting in Romeo mistakenly believe that Juliet is dead. These all kinds of "coincidence" propelled the development of contradictions and conflicts in the final tragedy. The end of the tragedy is a appeal to me.
